Excellent traditional Japanese ryokan experience, for those looking for one! It is family owned, and they are extremely friendly and nice. You get to stay in a pretty spacious traditional Japanese style room, wear kimono and sleep on the tatami while still having the comfort of a private bathroom. Breakfast is also prepared by them, and for those who enjoy Japanese food, having your breakfast traditionally prepared by a local is an amazing experience! The place is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with easy and surprisingly fast access to the center (Dotonbori) via public transportation. It was by far the best experience is Osaka for us, and one of the most authentic we had in Japan! Would definitely stay here again if we were going to Osaka!

The breakfast is an absolute highlight. Traditional Japanese style with miso, rice and fish. The room was beautiful with traditional Japanese interior: Tatami-floor, low table, kimono and futon mattresses on the floor The ryokan itself is not the newest, and doesn't look modernised or fancy at all. I guess the bathroom, kitchen and interior is from the 80's or 90's. But it's calm, spacy and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were travelling as a couple. Imazato Ryokan was definitely one of the best places we stayed during our 3 weeks in Japan. The neighborhood is a quiet residencial area. No tourists around, but still very easy to reach in walking distance from Imazato subway station. Please be respectful and friendly :)

Very convenient and safe location, just 4 stations from Namba on the Sennichimae line, and about 5 minutes from Imazato station. Breakfast was fantastic and hand prepared by the friendly owners with unlimited rice with furikake toppings. Sometimes, it would be salmon, other times croquette. Yukata in the rooms were also provided. Tatami rooms were very spacious with bathtub. Futons were so comfortable with many blankets provided, good especially in winter. One of the highlights was the heated multi functional toilet seat! The ceiling lamp could be adjusted to different lighting requirements with just one click.

Homemade breakfast was tasty and had a nice presentation. The interior was spacious, yet cozy. My single room had a lovely traditional style with a cathedral shaped ceiling and two windows. I could adjust the brightness of the lights. The toilet and shower was outside of the room, but it was nice and clean. The bathroom had a separate shower area and bathtub onsen. The staff was very hospitable and helpful during my stay. I didn't speak or understand much Japanese, so they used a device to translate their response to me. They alsobwent out of their way to help me find my phone, which I appreciated very much!

The Ryokan seems to be managed by a family, which gives it a sense of authenticity. The staff was really friendly. The check in can be done late in the evening. The location is close to the metro and is located in a nice residential area, which makes it interesting if you want to move away from the noisy part of the city and get to see how people really live. The breakfast was super complete and served fresh. I would totally recommend this place if you want to experience staying at a Ryokan.
